About Du Quoin State Fair

The Du Quoin State Fair is an eleven-day late-August through Labor Day spectacular in southern Illinois, the state's second state fair drawing hundreds of thousands to the coal country fairgrounds. First held in 1923, it has been a Illinois agricultural tradition for over a century.

What to Expect

Expect champion livestock shows, harness racing, grandstand concerts with nationally known artists, carnival rides, diverse food vendors, and the full southern Illinois state fair experience.

Visitor Tips

Du Quoin is in Perry County — the fair is famous for its World Trot harness race and its grandstand concerts, and the southern Illinois setting gives it a distinctly different character from the Springfield state fair.
