About Kauai County Fair

The Kauai County Fair in Lihue celebrates Hawaii's "Garden Isle" — Kauai County encompasses Kauai and the small island of Niihau, where the wettest spot on earth (Mount Waialeale) feeds waterfalls that cascade into the Na Pali Coast's dramatic sea cliffs, and where sugar plantation agriculture has given way to diversified farming, seed corn, and tropical fruit production.

What to Expect

Expect 4-H competitions, agricultural exhibits featuring taro, tropical fruits, and seed crops, live Hawaiian music and hula, local food vendors, carnival rides, and a fair drawing from Kauai's close-knit island community.

Visitor Tips

Lihue is the county seat on Kauai's southeast coast. The Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park, Waimea Canyon (the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific"), and Hanalei Bay on the North Shore are among the most spectacular natural landscapes in the United States. Kauai was used as a filming location for Jurassic Park.
