About Terrell County Fair
Terrell County (whose seat is the city of Dawson — not Dawsonville in Dawson County) gained historical significance during the civil rights movement when SNCC organizers faced intense violence in what was called "Terrible Terrell" as they worked to register Black voters in the early 1960s in this southwest Georgia county.
