About Garland County Fair
The Garland County Fair in Hot Springs is a September fair in America's first federal reserve and the only national park in a city, celebrating the spa resort, horse racing, and Ouachita Mountain heritage of Hot Springs — whose combination of federal hot spring bathhouses, Thoroughbred racing at Oaklawn Park, and lakeside resort atmosphere made it one of the most popular destinations in the early 20th century South.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, carnival rides, live entertainment, local food vendors, and a fair serving the resort city and mountain lake communities of Garland County.
Visitor Tips
Hot Springs is one of Arkansas's most distinctive cities — Hot Springs National Park (with its magnificent Bathhouse Row of Beaux-Arts bathhouses on Central Avenue), Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort (one of the premier Thoroughbred racing venues in the South), and Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine offer an extraordinary combination of history, gambling, spa culture, and outdoor recreation.
