About Mobile County Fair
The Mobile County Fair in Mobile is an October fair at Alabama's oldest city and Gulf Port, celebrating the Mardi Gras, port, and multicultural heritage of a city that invented the American Mardi Gras tradition (Mobile's Mardi Gras predates New Orleans' by many years), served as a Confederate naval stronghold, and has the most European character of any city in Alabama.
What to Expect
Expect livestock shows, FFA and 4-H competitions, major carnival midway, live entertainment, Gulf Coast seafood vendors, commercial exhibits, and a large fair serving the diverse communities of south Alabama's most populated and culturally rich county.
Visitor Tips
Mobile is Alabama's most historically layered city — the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park (a World War II battleship and submarine on permanent display in Mobile Bay), the Mobile Museum of Art, the Conde-Charlotte Museum House (one of the finest Colonial-era museums in the Gulf South), and Mobile's extraordinary Mardi Gras and azalea festival traditions make Mobile an exceptional Deep South destination.
