Visitor Tips
Fort Payne is the DeKalb County seat on Lookout Mountain — Little River Canyon National Preserve (a spectacular 12-mile canyon carved through the plateau, one of the deepest canyons east of the Rockies), DeSoto Falls, and the Alabama Fan Club & Museum (celebrating the country music group Alabama, which is from Fort Payne) make DeKalb County a northeast Alabama destination.
